El maestro Alfonso López Chollett, viene de alcanzar un triunfo muy importante en su carrera como director de orquesta, tras dirigir en forma magistral a la Sinfónica Juvenil Julio Fonseca, en San José, Costa Rica. Esta orquesta agrupa a los jóvenes más talentosos y avanzados con edades comprendidas entre los 15 y los 18 años de edad, formados en el Sistema Nacional de Educación Musical (SINEM), institución que replica al sistema de orquestas venezolano.

Tanto el público, como los músicos de la orquesta quedaron contentos con la labor del venezolano. “Gracias maestro por su cariño y guía ¡lo esperamos de vuelta pronto!”, expresó el SINEM a través de sus redes sociales”. Además, la obra Tumbao y Bailao de la autoría de López-Chollett hizo vibrar al público en ambas jornadas de conciertos, celebradas los días 13 y 14 de julio. También fueron interpretadas obras de Strauss, Bernstein, De Falla, Shostakovich y de Julio Fonseca.
Después del concierto varios músicos junto a sus padres y representantes colmaron sus redes sociales con mensajes de felicitación hacia el maestro Alfonso López Chollett, quien seguramente volverá a la nación centroamericana a seguir trabajando con el SINEM, institución que atiende a más de 4000 niños y jóvenes provenientes de las zonas de mayor vulnerabilidad en 21 sedes repartidas en toda Costa Rica.
El maestro López Chollett ya se encuentra en Venezuela, y además de sus funciones como concertino de la OSV tiene en mente una planificación de actividades diversa que abarcan su labor como violinista, director, compositor y docente musical: “me encantaría hacer series de conciertos en ciclos donde se puedan ofrecer visiones globales del repertorio sinfónico así como el repertorio de cámara”.
