El drama, la pasión, la comedia y el canto serán los elementos que caracterizarán este nuevo proyecto que se llevará a cabo en la sala de conciertos “Rodrigo Riera” del Teatro Alirio Díaz de la ciudad de Carora, para conmemorar los 450 años de su fundación.

Todo nace como idea de un grupo de jóvenes cantantes y músicos nacidos en la zona, no solo con el objetivo de hacer honor al nombre de su ciudad, también con miras a la formación operística de los integrantes del movimiento coral caroreño y de sus jóvenes instrumentistas de las orquestas del municipio Torres, en el estado Lara.
El evento contará con la participación, en su casting de solistas, a cantantes integrantes de la reconocida Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar, destacando entre ellos a dos oriundos de la región, los tenores Jorge De Brito y Jesús Herrera. También, destacan en la producción los músicos caroreños Carlos Torrealba y Luis Fernando Crespo, fungiendo como directores musical y artístico, respectivamente, en conjunto a sus asistentes Pedro José Suárez (también de la ciudad) y Uriel Guerrero como talleristas. Por último, la igualmente caroreña, Lucía Fabiola Fernández como asistente de producción.

De la misma forma, se contará con la participación de miembros de la Orquesta Sinfónica de las Juventudes Larenses Pedro León Torres y de los integrantes de los principales coros del municipio homónimo, como lo son el Orfeón Carora, el Orfeón UNEXPO Carora y el Coro Juvenil de FUNDAMUSICAL Núcleo Carora.
En esta ocasión se presentarán dos obras: del compositor italiano Giovanni B. Pergolesi la ópera bufa “La Serva Padrona”, la cual trata de la historia de Uberto, un rico solterón que anuncia su intención de casarse, en lo que su sierva, Serpina, se propone ser ella quien lo despose y convertirse en la dueña absoluta de la casa, coqueteándole y manipulándolo para lograr su cometido. Esta será puesta en escena el jueves 29 de agosto del 2019.

Cabe destacar de que la producción de este evento es sin fines de lucro y que todo el presupuesto recolectado por la organización está destinado al mismo evento y a la formación artística de todas las personas que están involucradas en este.

Como estreno en el centro occidente del país, de la talentosa compositora venezolana Diana Daniele, “Fausto”, que muestra la dramática historia de cómo Fausto, decepcionado de la vida y la ciencia hace un pacto con el diablo, representado como Mefistófeles, a cambio de juventud y el amor de Margarita, lo cual deriva en una serie de eventos trágicos.
