La pianista Vilma Sánchez creó la Cátedra de Entrenamiento Orquestal para Piano (CEOP), que desde noviembre de 2018 viene trabajando con un grupo de profesionales del instrumento, interesados en conocer el trabajo con las obras de interpretación, como integrantes de una agrupación sinfónica.
El Sistema Nacional de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela abrió este espacio de formación para pianistas de todo el país. Sánchez, quien hasta hace poco se desempeñó como titular de la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela (OSSBV), ahora se dedica de lleno al entrenamiento de los jóvenes talentos de este instrumento de cuerdas percutidas, que aunque tiene gran protagonismo para figuras solistas, también forma parte fundamental de muchas obras como integrante de las agrupaciones sinfónicas.

“La iniciativa surgió como una necesidad de las propias orquestas, dado que hasta hace algunos años no se contemplaba la figura del pianista como integrante de las agrupaciones sinfónicas. Gracias a los compositores de la nueva escuela y de la gran cantidad de repertorio que hemos descubierto con estas características, sobre todo de obras escritas a partir del siglo XIX, se hace indispensable formar a los intérpretes del piano para formar parte del cuerpo orquestal y trabajar desde adentro. Es completamente distinta la actuación de un solista a la participación del pianista como miembro orquestal”, explicó.
Las actividades de la CEOP están orientadas a ofrecer métodos de abordaje de las obras y algunos tips de estudio de esas interpretaciones, que forman parte de las composiciones sinfónicas. “Uno de los detalles que hay que tomar en cuenta es que los pianistas de orquesta no tienen un tiempo prolongado para estudiar sus partes de piano. En muchas ocasiones tienen que sacar estas interpretaciones en dos o tres días, a fin de estar preparados para los ensayos en colectivo”

Vilma Sánchez remarcó la condición que obliga al pianista de orquesta a adaptarse al conglomerado musical. “No es lo mismo hacer trabajo como repertorista o acompañante de un instrumentista. En este caso el pianista tiene que acostumbrarse a escuchar y hacer su interpretación con el mismo color y sonido que tiene la orquesta. Ese trabajo sólo se logra cuando uno está dispuesto a trabajar al servicio de la agrupación y se deja guiar para cambiar la perspectiva del instrumento, de acuerdo con la naturaleza de cada obra”.
Actualmente, la Cátedra de Entrenamiento Orquesta para Piano trabaja con seis jóvenes profesionales, quienes participan en diferentes actividades educativas y musicales dentro y fuera de El Sistema.
