El miércoles 7 de agosto, en el teatro del Hotel Guaraní (Oliva e Independencia Nacional), se inició el V Festival Internacional de Clarinetes Paraguay 2019, impulsado por la Sinfónica Nacional del Paraguay (OSN) y la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Arte (FADA) de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA). El festival ofrece dentro de su programación diversas actividades como conciertos, recitales, clases magistrales, charlas, exposiciones, ensamble de clarinetes. Además, cuenta con la presencia del célebre clarinetista portugués Saiote. El encuentro se extenderá hasta el domingo 11.
Además de Saiote, participan los maestros Carmen Borreagales (Venezuela), Luis Vargas (Perú), Víctor Pereira (Portugal) y Simón Wyrch (Suiza).

Entre las agrupaciones invitadas figuran Quinteto de Vientos (FADA), Banda Sinfónica y Jazz Band de la Policía Nacional, Sopros de PE Clarinet Cuartet (Brasil), Cuarteto Peruano de Clarinetes (Perú), D’Tres Trío (Perú) y Cuarteto Hyapu.
Las actividades tendrán lugar en el salón auditorio de la Sinfónica Nacional del Paraguay (OSN), sito en Teniente Coronel Ayala Velázquez 376 casi Capitán Brizuela (Bº Mariscal López), y en el local de la Licenciatura en Música de la FADA (Campus de San Lorenzo).
Con esta propuesta, la Sinfónica Nacional ofrece opciones de gran calidad internacional tanto a los músicos como al público en general. “La propuesta tiene como protagonistas a maestros e intérpretes de alto nivel”, comentaron los organizadores.
