El compositor, pianista y director de orquestas venezolano José Agustín Sánchez continúa con su gira Sonidos del Sur y tras recorrer Bolívar, Perú, Ecuador y Venezuela, ahora se encuentra en Colombia trabajando en el último capítulo del tour, cuyo objetivo final es crear una gran obra que será estrenada mundialmente por la Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas de la cual es compositor residente.

En territorio colombiano se encuentra realizando sus “ofrendas musicales” o micro-conciertos en espacios naturales y culturales de gran importancia; la primera tuvo lugar en la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquira, el 9 de junio y ahora se prepara para su segunda presentación este sábado 3 de agosto en horas de la tarde, teniendo como escenario al El peñón de Guatapé o Piedra del Peñol, ubicada en el departamento de Antioquia.
“Esta próxima ofrenda que realizaremos tiene un significado muy especial, porque además de su contenido de crecimiento espiritual, la dedicaremos a la memoria del gran maestro Cruz Díez, será un homenaje a su trabajo y a su enorme legado como artista, porque su vida le añadió mucho color a nuestro país”, explicó José Agustín Sánchez en cuanto al evento musical que ofrecerá en la Piedra del Peñol, un monolito de 220 metros compuesto por varios minerales como cuarzo, mica y feldespato, cuya cumbre requiere subir los 659 escalones que le fueron construidos.

El joven compositor destacó que en la ofrenda “como hemos hecho en toda la gira Sonidos del Sur vamos a hacer música en paisajes distintos, mostrando al mundo que la labor del compositor en esta nueva era debe ganar otros espacios, que integren naturaleza, conciencia, espíritu y a las comunidades con su acervo cultural, para así retarnos a integrar el arte en la sociedad, lo que tiene una fuerza integradora y sensibilizadora que nos permite crecer. Será un encuentro de hermandad porque vamos a reunir 30 músicos colombianos y venezolanos”.
Serán interpretados algunos de los Memes cósmicos compuestos por Sánchez, así como una pieza que escribió especialmente para la Piedra del Peñol. Participarán músicos que pertenecen a la escuela de El Peñol, con el apoyo de la municipalidad del Peñol y de su casa de la cultura. “La logística es bastante compleja porque hay que subir todas las escaleras del monolito con los instrumentos a mano, entonces se convierte en una especie de procesión musical, hasta llegar hasta a la cima con una vista muy hermosa del embalse; luego esperaremos el atardecer para elevar nuestra oración musical”, añadió.

En este capítulo final denominado “Sonidos de Colombia” es importante resaltar los logros de toda esta gran aventura musical que comenzó a finales de 2017 recorriendo Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela y ahora se adentra en el hermoso territorio colombiano.

En total, durante toda la gira, José Agustín Sánchez entre ofrendas musicales, recitales de piano y conciertos sinfónicos ha dado cerca de 50 presentaciones, algunas verdaderas hazañas como el llevar un piano 300 mts bajo tierra en una mina, al medio de un desierto de sal o al píe de un volcán; hasta ha llevado su música sobre embarcaciones musicales, avionetas, techos de rascacielos, lugares recónditos de la selva y otros de gran presencia espiritual como cementerios indígenas o antiguos templos pre-hispánicos.

Además de sus presentaciones, en Colombia ha venido realizando conciertos con orquestas, clases magistrales, conferencias y talleres sobre composición musical. Después del evento de este fin de semana, el músico tachirense se concentrará en sus próximas ofrendas a realizarse en el Cañón del Chicamocha y en el Nevado del Ruiz, y además dará un concierto de piano en Barichara (Santander). Finalmente regresará a Venezuela para terminar el manuscrito de la gran obra sinfónica que será estrenada por la Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas, que dirige el maestro Rodolfo Saglimbeni, cuya premier mundial se espera para finales de 2019 o principios de 2020.
