Secularmente, el sol ha representado para el hombre un símbolo que marca la vida, objeto de culto y veneración. Dos veces al año, la Tierra, en su relación con el también llamado “astro rey”, experimenta su máxima inclinación, marcando el solsticio de verano o de invierno, momento astronómico que indica el inicio a las estaciones de verano e invierno y donde la duración del día puede ser más corta o más larga.
Distintas culturas ven en estos ciclos solares una guía para entender un poco más el sentido de la existencia, por lo que la llegada del solsticio es acompasada por diversos festejos y rituales.

El domingo 28 de julio, a las 11:30 a.m., el Centro Cultural BOD presenta a Luisana Pérez y Ariana Pérez en Solsticio, propuesta que transita por la música y fiestas de la región varguense: Cantos de Cruz de Mayo, San Juan, aguinaldos y parrandas, entre otros géneros.
Composiciones de Cruz Felipe Iriarte, Luis Pérez Padilla, Flor Pérez, Nicolás Sanabria y Humberto Troconis, serán interpretadas en un formato íntimo y refrescante por estas cantantes oriundas de Vargas, con el acompañamiento de Javier Marín (dirección musical y guitarra de siete cuerdas), Sergio Pérez (clarinete), Loreley Pérez (cuatro) y Pablo Quintero (percusión).

Egresada con distinción del Royal College of Music (Reino Unido), mediante el programa de profesionalización de la Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (Abrsm), tiene una licenciatura en Artes de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Como fagotista ha formado filas en la Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas y del Ensamble de Experimentación Sonora Juan Carlos Núñez. Con su disco solista, Como La Espiga, ha recorrido diversos escenarios nacionales e internacionales.

Su hermana Ariana, por su parte, además de ser músico y cantante activa de varias agrupaciones, se desempeña como instructora de danza popular en la Escuela de Formación Voces Risueñas de Carayaca, agrupación en la que ambas han hecho vida desde pequeñas.
