La Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz y el Ensamble Pop 80’90’ han preparado un repertorio de gran calidad profesional, para las funciones programadas dentro del Festival Vacaciones al Ritmo de El Sistema. El sábado 10 y domingo 11 de agosto, a las 4:00 pm., el público amante de este género tendrá la oportunidad de apreciar la versatilidad y virtuosismo de los integrantes de esta agrupación, dirigida por el maestro Andrés Briceño.
En cada una de las funciones habrá repertorios distintos, con la intención de mostrar la capacidad interpretativa y la riqueza de las obras compuestas por los grandes exponentes del jazz en todos sus formatos. En el primer concierto, el público podrá apreciar los más conocidos estándares, con la intención de hacer lucir a los instrumentistas y solistas que forman parte de la Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz.

Para el segundo concierto se presentará la orquesta con los cantantes, integrantes también del Ensamble Pop 80’90’, quienes mostrarán la fuerza de la interpretación vocal en temas de corte popular mundial, al estilo del big band jazz y también obras del acervo musical venezolano, con un sentido homenaje al maestro Aldemaro Romero.

Para el lunes 12 de agosto, también a las 4:00 pm., está prevista la actuación del Ensamble Pop 80’90’, con entrada gratuita. Esta agrupación surgida en el seno de la Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz ha permitido el descubrimiento del talento vocal de sus integrantes, quienes gozan de mucho carisma y aceptación del público que los ha visto presentarse en sus espectáculos más recientes.
