Fue un concierto en el que además del extraordinario performance del tachirense, considerado como el mejor intérprete de la trompeta en el mundo entero de la actualidad, tuvo grata sorpresa: la participación especial del joven Sebastián Marcano, hijo del maestro Eddy Marcano quien estuvo presente disfrutando del concierto de su gran amigo. La actuación del adolescente tocando cuatro le dio un toque de añoranza venezolana al concierto que el público agradeció con una pronunciada ovación.
Este concierto tuvo una connotación especial, porque fue el cuarto estreno oficial del “Concierto de otoño”, una obra de trompeta escrita por el afamado compositor mexicano Arturo Márquez para Pacho Flores, que fue gerenciado como una cuádruple comisión con orquestas de EEUU, México, Japón y ahora le tocó la Orquesta Filarmonía de Oviedo dirigida por Lucas Macías en el Teatro Campoamor de la ciudad de Oviedo, España.

Pacho Flores fue recibido como un ídolo en la ciudad española y fue ovacionado varias veces tras interpretar, además de la obra de Márquez, el “Concierto en Mi bemol” de J. B. G. Neruda. La sorpresa vino con los bises, antes una audiencia entusiasmada, el tachirense regaló “El diablo suelto”, en donde participó y debutó al mismo tiempo Sebastián Marcano tocando el cuatro con gran solvencia, y luego el merengue “A mis hermanos”, de su gran amigo Aquiles Báez.
Eddy Marcano, quien se encontraba en el público, al terminar el concierto, muy emocionado expresó: “¡imagínate! ¿Qué te puedo decir? Cualquier cosa que te diga se queda corta para expresar cómo me siento. Esta fue una sorpresa, una invitación de mi querido Pacho Flores”. El joven Sebastián se notó muy seguro para ser su primera vez en un gran escenario.
A Pacho Flores se le notó muy contento, tanto por el éxito del concierto, como por la receptividad del “Concierto de Otoño”, una iniciativa gerencial ideada por el mismo dada su estrecha relación con el gran Arturo Márquez. También estaba muy emocionado por la participación de Sebastián Marcano a quien conoce desde que era un bebe dada su estrecha amistad con Eddy Marcano.

El maestro Eddy Marcano ahora emprende en un viaje al norte de Francia, Normandía, donde estará participando en una serie de actividades musicales y educativas que organiza el también venezolano Cristóbal Soto, uno de los fundadores del Ensamble Gurrufio.
