Ocho décadas de existencia hay que celebrarlas, aunque sea trabajando; pero que alegría cuando uno lo hace con ganas. Y siempre el maestro del jazz Gerry Weil cuando se monta en una tarima, lo hace con una energía que crece con el pasar del tiempo. De ahí que este sábado 10 de agosto, desde las 5 pm, festejará sus 80 años con un show en el Centro Cultural BOD de Caracas.
Weil se paseara por un repertorio integrado por temas propios, además de versiones de piezas muy conocidas y algunos estrenos. Adelantó el artista, con seis décadas de trayectoria, que “el espectáculo estará lleno de emociones, y será grabado para un disco en vivo”. El también profesor viene de una exitosa gira en EEUU y Europa donde ofreció presentaciones, conferencias y clases magistrales.
El artista se prepara para una nueva etapa del Old Songs Young Heart World Tour, que lo llevará a otras ciudades estadounidenses, como Nueva York, Houston y Orlando.
